Merchant Medical Legal Consulting was founded with a simple mission: to bridge the gap between medicine and law. What began as a practice focused on helping veterans navigate the VA disability process, has grown into a full-service medical-legal consulting firm supporting attorneys, insurance professionals, and veterans nationwide. While our roots remain in veteran disability consulting, our expertise now extends to medical record review, clinical case analysis, insurance claim support, Defense Medical Examination (DME) observation, psychiatric causation analysis, independent medical opinions, and litigation support. Our goal is to simplify complex medical claims by providing organized, professional reports that help our clients make informed decisions with confidence.

Founder & CEO | Nurse | Medical-Legal Consultant | Veteran
I am a Registered Nurse with over 15 years clinical experience in emergency medicine and behavioral health requiring detailed assessment of acute and chronic medical conditions, assessed symptom progression, and documented functional impact with the ability to clearly explain medical findings.
I also served in the United States Army, including a combat deployment to Iraq. My background provides direct insight into service conditions, post-deployment health issues, and the long-term medical effects commonly seen in VA claims. I have personally navigated the VA disability process and understand how VA raters evaluate medical evidence, nexus opinions, and use that perspective as my framework for my cases.
The combination of clinical expertise and military experience allows my team to evaluate VA disability claims with both medical accuracy and practical understanding of service-related conditions.

Operations | Registered Respiratory Therapist | Clinical Consultant
In addition to her role as Director of Operations, Savannah serves as a clinical consultant for Merchant Medical Legal Consulting. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, she brings experience in pulmonary medicine, sleep disorders, critical care, and mechanical ventilation, providing valuable clinical insight for cases involving respiratory disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and complex cardiopulmonary conditions.
Her experience in both respiratory therapy and behavioral health also supports our review of cases involving psychiatric conditions, sleep disorders, and the complex relationship between mental and physical health. Her clinical expertise and operational leadership help ensure every case is managed efficiently and maintains the quality and professionalism our clients expect.
